This fortnight sees the reappearance of another puzzle from 1990 – this time one with a Nina, or hidden theme. I’ve chosen one where awareness of the theme is not important to solving the puzzle – I doubt whether anyone in 1990 even noticed it – but it’s there nonetheless. And, as you’ll see, there was another tricky crossword issue involved, with a perhaps surprising resolution.
