Summer has kicked in here, leading to a visit from a dead puffer fish in the comments – not sure what sort of precedent that sets. Nothing quite so venomous in the puzzle line this time around – Inquisitor 450-ish from 1997, only it wasn’t an Inquisitor, and on the day it wasn’t 450-ish. My thanks as always to The Independent for permission to republish.
If you nip over to the Church Times site you will find a numerically appropriate puzzle from me. And in the time before the next update (and aside from the regular Phi and Beelzebub in the various editions of the Independent) you’ll find a Kcit Toughie on 29 January, and a Pedro Times Quick on 5 February.
APEX participants (should any be reading, and even if there are none) will be being prodded for any unsent clues this weekend ahead of the closing date on 31 January. (The rest of you will have to wait for May to see what may be making them dilatory.) I can report that the time spent in and around the puffer fish on the sunny beach was conducive to prompting the 2015 APEX idea.
Oh, all right, here’s the fish on my own page.
