Breaking my usual fortnightly pattern for an announcement.
If you’ve been following The Guardian site, you’ll be aware that a short documentary on Araucaria, based on interviews with him at the end of his life, has been completed and shown at some festivals. The Guardian has just released it on their website and you can find it here.
It’s a mere ten minutes long, though its gentle pace effectively removes any sense of time passing – until the credits, which go at the fashionably unreadable speed seen so often these days. Still, this isn’t about the credits, of course – Araucaria simply talks about his puzzles, and reads from some of his fan mail. Which doesn’t sound a lot, but it does the job.
