My first thought, on revisiting this, was to wonder what the European connections required by this outlet were – HANG-GLIDING and MAINSAILS don’t exactly do the job, and none of the longer words (10/11 letters) is what you might call ‘thematic’. But there was quite a lot going in the shorter answers, and IRISH is in overtly. rather a lot of homophones in the clues for me, I thought – also perhaps a bit odd, given the multi-lingual nature of the enterprise.
