After this morning’s little rant at the iniquities of online subscriptions, here’s the formal update for this fortnight.
Araucaria always considered the monthly magazine ‘One Across’ to be his ‘baby’, and he regularly contributed two puzzles a month to it. Obviously his passing marks a watershed for the magazine, and now would be an excellent time to support it (their email-based subscription works…). Contact details on my One Across page. My thanks to Chris and Tom for permission to put up the occasional puzzle – like this one, new today, and more Araucarian than it may look at first sight.
If you see this before Sunday 12 January then you will have time in the UK to rush out and buy the Sunday Telegraph, wherein you will find an Enigmatic Variations puzzle by Kcit. The Telegraph’s online woes may also mean that you will still be able to get free access by following the link down there on the right – but once things are sorted that’s another subscription you’d enjoy taking out.
