News is still not 100% clear but it does look as if the Beelzebub crossword is the most endangered of the Independent stable. There is to be a puzzle on 13 March (which commemorates the four setters over the years – see if you can spot them) but the solution is elsewhere in the same issue and there are no prizes.
There appear to be no plans for a Sunday edition of the i so the Beelzebub puzzle would have to go in the online pages of the new e-paper and on its app. Beelzebub fans are encouraged to let the Independent know they want the puzzle – try letters@independent.co.uk, where the online editor is Christian Broughton.
Although i rarely complete one, it’s the gold standard. Perhaps beelzebub could find a home in Don’s Church Times ??
