Plus a video. We put some lights in our front window because we were awaiting the delivery of cupcakes (helping to raise money for a local cat rescue; cupcakes eventually arrived in the small hours of Christmas morning by which time the lights were long out), and several cats were undeterred by them. Puzzle services are heading back to normal though, for myself, I haven’t yet worked through all the bounty of Christmas weekend yet. I’m in The Times today and again January 4 – Quick Cryptic and daily respectively) with the usual Independent daily puzzles on Fridays.

We hope the cupcakes went down well and plenty of funds were raised for the charity.
It is amazing that cats will not be phased by such things as flashing lights but will bolt at a more minor, seemingly less intrusive event or item.
