Another hasty post, given the time of year, and the fact that seasonal crosswords are falling from the net like snowflakes. Well, not like snowflakes here, where an intensely muggy and showery few days in the mid-twenties are set to cover Christmas.
As always, I try to put up an unseen puzzle at this time of year, and this time round it is another unpublished Beelzebub. I had got as far as numbering it 14, and was adding it to the list when I stumbled across an earlier unpublished Beelzebub 14, which I hadn’t linked to on the Beelzebub page. So, in case I never actually got round to announcing the first – here are two. And both are now linked!
There are a couple of puzzles before the end of the year: a Times Quick Cryptic on December 28, with the regular Friday Independent the day after (an unusual approach to a seasonal theme, if I do say so myself). Then the Times has a 15×15 from me on 4 January, with the Independent weekly puzzle again popping up the day after.
So, in addition to the merry Christmas, have a happy New Year as well, and I’ll be back early in it.
