It’s been a busy weekend again, with books arriving (and requiring perusal, of course) and the need for a trip to Paraparaumu so that Marjorie could visit one of her favourite shops which is closing at the end of May. Things have become rather jammed together, and now I’m having to bake shortbread because we forgot to buy any. The flu has lingered or (at least) has refused to withdraw all its symptoms, and the likelihood of a 100-day cough is looming.
No time to put up a puzzle, especially as I got my calendar mixed and was going to unearth another Beelzebub. June is looking set to be a busy month, but it starts relatively quietly. In addition to the usual Friday Independent slots, there will be a Times Quick Cryptic on 1 June, the same day as ‘Knowledge Gap’ appears in the Inquisitor series.
I will definitely find time to put up a puzzle next update, when there may also be an announcement.

Sounds like making shortbread would be a rather nice penance. Was it flavoured shortbread? Hopefully, that pesky flu/bug will pass before winter (and all that brings) sets in. I wonder what the announcement will be; I must have words with Marjorie and the cats to see if they will spill the proverbial kibble.
