This is an example of a very simple Nina – in fact, it’s not even a particularly hidden theme. I simply found three 15-letter novels and worked them symmetrically into the grid, along with the word ‘novel’ itself. By great good luck, a fourth novel found its way in as well. (I dare say there’s a novel called ‘Antipasto’ somewhere around too…’Rhinoceros’ is an absurdist play, of course.) I have only read Cold Comfort Farm – the short stories by Woolf and Proulx that I’ve read haven’t encouraged me to read further, while I’ve just never got round to du Maurier.
